I wanted to thank Sommer & Sommer for catching the PTE-E payment discrepancy earlier—it ended up being the key to resolving a bigger issue.

After your observation, I reached out to the Oregon Department of Revenue, and an associate realized I didn’t have access to my PTE Elective account, which I didn’t realize was a separate “account” that I needed to request access to. I had always assumed I was making PTE-E payments correctly through the Corporation Tax account and that they’d be classified during filing, as they were last year. But thanks to your diligence, the DoR was able to correct this oversight.

I now have access to my PTE Elective account, and everything is properly reflected. I really appreciate your attention to detail—it made all the difference in getting this corrected.
